Catch this special simulcast on Project: Archivist as well! Huge thanks to Roejen Razorwire for the invite to participate in this interview and for giving me permission to share it on CtW! First a reading from The Third Chinese Patriarch, or Hsin Hsin Ming, followed by Kelly's and Aaron David's musings and weird experiences from just before the time of Aaron's Lunar Initiation.
Aaron David is joined by Erik Arneson of Arnemancy and My Alchemical Bromance podcast. Erik has over 25 years of experience with Tarot and has studied Hermeticism for almost two decades. His studies have given him a deep and knowledgeable connection to the cards. Erik says, "Reading cards for another person is intended to simply be entertainment, but there is definitely a message that the cards convey. Their images speak to archetypal ideas within us, and that’s a tool that can be used for greater self-awareness and communication with our unconscious minds."
Spiro and Aaron David have a chat with Len about his research and work pertaining to the the Stele of Jeu from the Greek Magical Papyri. It is a rite that is at the center of the Western Esoteric Tradition and has been known as "The Bornless Rite", "The Headless Ritual", "The Preliminary Invocation of the Goetia," "The Invocation of the Heart Girt with a Serpent" and of course, Liber Samekh.
Len has translated Dimitri Meeks' paper pertaining to the Masked Headless God, from French, and you can find that right here. Show Len some CtW love by giving his work a thumbs up! This interview brings me closer yet to having some grasp of my own experience of the Akephalos. If you enjoy the show, please share it around!
Kelly and Aaron David reveal more dream revelations pertaining to the Solar Eclipse and then Aaron David's interview with returning guest Spiro Nidelkos of triplesnake.com! This was a rather spontaneous conversation covering many topics, from Crowley to Headlessness to glossolalia Ganesha and much more!
As a side note, the dreams we talk about were read in Charm the Water's Patreon only After Hours #2. The two original blog posts of the dreams can be found on Aaron David's old blog, here & here.
Aaron David talks about the Heart Sutra, the 14th Aethyr, Crowley, the A.A., Zen Koans, Chaos, Babalon, the City of Pyramids, Binah, and how it is all these things relate....maybe...
Things are getting pretty weird at the old farmhouse in Mars Hill. Aaron David and Kelly share spooky true stories from their new residence in the woods. Included is a sound bite that caused Aaron David to stop recording the show Wednesday night (it was probably an owl).
Broadcasting from where the mountains end, Aaron David rambles as if moonstruck, answering such questions as why you can't sit in Lotus, why it is tick tock and not tock tick, and why Virgo is about to give birth.
Aaron David sniffs around the realm of the dharmas, having his first most impressive meditation experience and discovering the great wondrousness of nothing along with Fazang the Conjurer.
Aaron David is joined with Kelly in a relaxed conversation on house-hunting, dreams, the dangers of meditation and finally the release of Birto's/Thuban's seal for use in treasure hunting!
Aaron David & Kelly talk about the Birto Goetic experiment from the Book of Oberon. Pick up your white-hilted knives and come along!
I believe this is the first time since episode 1 of CtW that we are together again! So much stuff has happened since we began talking! In this conversation we discuss the Thelemic perspective and Liber OZ as well as their being no societal integration without first individuation. This and more!
Aaron David tells a bit more of his experience with his Mars initiation, the life changes that has wrought, and then we take a trip upon the tree with Israel Regardie in a reading from his A Garden of Pomegranates. We also stop by Aleister Crowley's writings as well as The Digital Ambler's geomantic musings.
Adam Sayne of Conspirinormal joins Kelly and I for dinner at Chupacabra restaurant. We then head to Thomas Wolfe's grave at Riverside Cemetery for a ghost box session.
